Hydrogen Power Generators

For energy providers wanting to maximize their return on investment from renewables, provide continuous power, balance the grid over long durations, and provide zero-emission power to their customers, hydrogen fuel cells are the answer. With a power  range from several kWs to  multiple MWs Hydrogen fuel cells are competitive solution for distributed power generation and critical infrastructure backup power.

Fuel cells are highly efficient, typically reaching fuel to electricity efficiency of 60 percent, nearly double the efficiency of today’s electric grid. Fuel cells also generate heat which, if captured, can increase overall energy efficiency to more than 90 percent. The heat produced by fuel cells can generate additional electricity through a turbine, provide heating directly to nearby buildings or facilities, and even cooling with the addition of an absorption chiller.

Fuel cells are the most cost-effective solution for zero emission power generation for the following applications:

  • Power to Power:  Long duration energy storage for large scale renewable systems
  • Backup Power:  Standby power generation for data centres and other critical infrastructure during extended power outages
  • Distributed Generation:  Onsite power generation for offgrid commercial and industrial buildings, and EV charging
